Luc Virgili Phan

Founder and President of Exploring Existence Club at Cypress College

Luc Virgili Phan is the founder and president of Exploring Existence, a discussion club at Cypress College focused on the philosophical dimensions of consciousness and artificial intelligence. His work led to the establishment of the college’s first AI Task Force, in collaboration with President Schilling, to manage the impact of Large Language Models on education. As the Student Representative, he’s helping develop AI guidelines and advocating student involvement with emerging technologies.

Next Fall, Luc will advance his studies at UC Berkeley, majoring in Cognitive Science. He aims to deepen our understanding of the human mind to enhance the cognitive architectures of artificial agents.
